Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S):
Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) is flammable, colorless, smells like rotten eggs, and can be a hazardous gas. Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) can occur naturally, but can also be formed by the breaking down by bacteria of organic materials such as different forms of waste, such as sewage. The gas can be formed from many different industrial activities such as drilling, refining, wastewater treatment, etc.
Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger and Removal
JP-Scavenger was formulated to react and neutralize H₂S gas, which has been known to be an issue across many industries. H₂S Neutralizer will not only neutralize the odor but also provide a pleasant odor in an environmentally friendly manner. It will also react and neutralize other gases such as ammonia, trimethylamine, and methyl mercaptan.
JP-Scavenger has been used in refineries after chemical decontamination as a final rinse to eliminate H₂S and provide a pleasant odor.
In municipal wastewater treatment plants, it can be used in the collection system, lift stations, primary clarifiers, digesters, sludge storage tanks, and sludge dewatering. Can be used in wet scrubbers or bio-filters. As an odor control reactant can be used in place of ferric chloride, hydrogen peroxide, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, calcium nitrate, sodium nitrate, and others. Has been used to remove odors from lagoons, holding tanks, sour gas strippers, sour water strippers, and grease pits. It is very effective in controlling odors in septic systems and enhancing biological growth.
